Cynthia K. Barrett, MSW, LICSW, joined ARMS in January, 2018, as a Behavioral Health Consultant, and will see patients at our ARMS Metro Health Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and at our Midtown Health Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Ms. Barrett earned her Master's of Social Work degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and also holds an Associate's degree from Central New Mexico Community College.

Ms. Barrett brings with her 17 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, practicing in Alabama and previously in Missouri, Florida, and Mississippi, and is also a registered supervisor for social work licensure candidates.  Ms. Barrett has experience in community health and community mental health agencies, hospitals, residential and outpatient treatment facilities and military bases.  Ms. Barrett's experience spans child and family case management, substance abuse assessment and treatment, elder adult issues, stress, parenting, marital and relationship concerns, military and veterans' issues, childhood behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, sleep problems and PTSD, among others.

Ms. Barrett is an experienced foster patent and has two (2) adopted sons.  When Ms. Barrett has spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, movies, cooking, and music.
